This Handturned Segmented Wood Bowl is from my Classics Collection, which feature simple clean lines in classic forms made from mostly North Carolina Hardwoods. This design features a random swirling segments that grows as the bowl goes up from the bottom. This particular bowl has about 270 individual pieces of wood including Maple, Walnut and Cherry, all from local, storm damaged trees. The segments are 3/8″ thick and vary from 3/8″ wide to 1-1/4″ wide.
Details of the Bowl
The bowl measures 10-1/2″ in diameter and is 6″ tall. The bowl is finished in several coats of Hi Gloss Lacquer.
All of my work is signed by me, Serial Numbered and the species of wood recorded on the bottom. I hope you enjoy owning this bowl as much as I enjoy turning them.
